Harold Brewer is a former Superintendent of Montgomery County Schools, a district of 4,500 students near Charlotte, NC. He has served as an assistant principal, high school principal, and as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. His last high school assignment was Walter M. Williams High School in Burlington, NC, which was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence during his time there.
From 1992-94, Harold served as an Assistant Director of the Principals' Executive Program (PEP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There, he directed the Superintendents' Executive Program and the Central Office Executive Programs.
Harold holds a bachelor of science from Pembroke State University, a Masters in School Administration from Appalachian State University and a Six Year Advanced Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.
As an instructional leader, Harold is committed to teaching and learning as tools for building a solid foundation for successful life experiences. He strongly advocates recognizing the responsibility and providing opportunity for every individual teachers, student, and citizen to own and contribute to the quality of education in our schools.
