Welcome to the Adobe Academy

The Adobe Academy curriculum provided by ExplorNet implements the North Carolina blueprints for the program. This curriculum supports teachers as they develop student knowledge and skill and prepare students to earn as many as five industry-recognized Adobe certifications. The Adobe Certified Associate certifications include: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; Dreamweaver; and Premiere Pro. Students can gain experience working with industry-standard software and technology in order to succeed in the digital workplace.
QTL/ExplorNet works with educators and industry professionals to provide teacher training to become endorsed to teach the curriculum. As technologies and software advance in the industry, QTL/ExplorNet annually updates and maintains the course materials to reflect what students will experience when they enter the workforce.

The Adobe Academy program is currently structured into three courses:
- II31 Adobe Visual Design - Students learn the skills of Visual Communication using and earning certifications in Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign software. The curriculum includes students building skills using the software to create visual communications as well as understanding the software itself. Visual Design demonstrates how all pieces of this industry fit together as well as allowing students to determine where their interests lie.
- II32 Adobe Digital Design – Students learn the concepts and processes of designing a web site using Adobe's Dreamweaver software. Students learn to conceptualize, plan and execute the development of a website, as well as add and organize content. The Dreamweaver certification provides students with a viable tool to demonstrate their abilities to prospective employers.
