Quality Professional Development

QTL™ offers training opportunities for new IT teachers, as well as workshops for teachers already participating in QTL's Computer Engineering and QTL's Networking.

New Teacher Training
Computer Engineering

Initial training for QTL's Computer Engineering is a comprehensive eight-day session that prepares teachers to teach both levels of the A+-based curriculum. The professional development is led by an experienced classroom teacher, and the focus is on classroom management and practical application as well as technical content. During a full Computer Engineering training event, participants build their own computer from a kit and take it back to school with them.

New Teacher Training
QTL's Networking

Initial training for QTL's Networking is an eight-day session that begins with an overview of networking hardware, architecture and protocols, then continues with a study of network administration and the major operating systems. The course is designed to prepare students for further study in network technology (Cisco or other programs) or network management (Windows, Novell or Linux).
