The most meaningful professional development opportunities most teachers have are those which are connected to a school or district-wide effort. Some North Carolina school districts have implemented QTL programs for several years through District Partnerships. Some use their own staff development experts with support from The Centers for Quality Teaching and Learning.
QTL Staff Development establishes a common vocabulary and goals and sets the framework for teacher collaboration. QTL's Leadership Seminars ensure that principals and other instructional leaders understand what teachers are learning in QTL and what they are trying to accomplish through their collaborative efforts. Our Teacher and Leadership Coaching sessions take this concept to the individual or small group level.
