North Carolina NETI
Help for New Teachers
With support from the North Carolina General Assembly, The Centers for Quality Teaching and Learning is partnering with several districts across the state to offer the New & Emerging Teacher Institute to new faculty members.
North Carolina requires school districts to provide ten days of professional development for new teachers. NETI is a six-day program that helps schools meet part of that requirement while giving participants practical, meaningful insights into their new profession.
A Johnston County administrator calls NETI helps new teachers meet students' needs "from Day 1." A Charlotte-Mecklenburg teacher calls NETI "an amazing resource... fast-paced, entertaining, interactive, and extremely useful." Read more reflections from Charlotte NETI participants.
